Y. Laramée Couvreur Inc. replaces the first 100 square feet of rotten or broken wood, a task that must be done well. An elastomeric ventilated roof must be placed on a decking with a smooth surface. It may happen that the wood decking does not have a smooth surface, for example when the old wood has too many ripples for the roof to be placed over it, but it is nonetheless still solid. In these cases, there is a less costly alternative than the replacement with a new plywood. It involves the installation of a fiberglass asphalt panel that will produce a nice smooth surface with no unevenness and it can also serve as fireproof for an elastomeric roof.
